Hello! My name is Michael Barber. I am an Air Force veteran, a full-time communicator, and a part-time tennis teaching professional. These roles define how I serve my country and my community, but they are not my primary identity. More importantly, I believe in Jesus for his promise of everlasting life, which provides the purpose for everything I do.

I fell in love with the sport of tennis during my high school years in Whitney Point, New York. In June 1995, I began teaching tennis full-time, helping many students in Broome County, New York and Berks County, Pennsylvania.Following the tragic events of 9/11, I felt compelled to join the U.S. Air Force, which ended my 10-year, full-time teaching career. However, during and after my nine years in the military, I have spent more than 20 years teaching tennis on a part-time basis.Tennis Credentials

In addition to serving in the 193rd Special Operations Wing as a full-time, dual status member of the Pennsylvania Air National Guard, I supported the Global War on Terrorism's Operation Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom during multiple overseas deployments, serving as an Information Management and Knowledge Operations Specialist.
